Training
All licensable naturopathic physicians are expected to graduate from a four-year, graduate level medical school that is specifically geared towards the principals of naturopathic medicine. Attendees must meet entrance requirements similar to other medical schools, and must complete a curriculum of classroom activities within both clinical and practical study environments. After meeting graduation requirements, students receive the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree (ND).
NDs are trained in medical sciences including:

- Dermatology
Naturopathic physicians are also highly trained in areas of naturopathic therapeutics, some of which may include nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, childbirth, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and naturopathic manipulative therapy.
